The Career Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in guiding individuals through their career journey, focusing on job placement strategies and fostering relationships with organizations to support the CWEP site development.
This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong understanding of career counseling, job market trends, and a knack for building partnerships.
1.
Career Counseling and Guidance:
Provide personalized career counseling and guidance to individuals, including students, graduates, and job seekers, to identify their skills, interests, and career goals.
Develop customized career development plans, including resume building, interview preparation, and job search strategies tailored to individual needs.
2.
Job Placement:
Act as a liaison between job seekers and potential employers to facilitate job placements and employment opportunities.
Collaborate with local businesses, corporations, and recruiting agencies to identify job openings, internships, and apprenticeships suitable for the CWEP program participants.
Assist in organizing job fairs, networking events, and recruitment drives to connect job seekers with prospective employers.
3.
Program Administration:
Maintain accurate records of participants' progress, job placements, and program effectiveness.
Develop reports and assessments to measure the success of the CWEP and job placement initiatives.
4.
Training and Workshops:
Conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions on resume writing, interview skills, job search techniques, and professional development to enhance participants' employability.
5.
CWEP Site Development Collaborate with local businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations to establish and maintain CWEP sites that provide meaningful work experiences relevant to participants' career goals.
